About LGP

Edgelight LGP (light guide plate) is a kind of high-technology backlit unit. A backlight used in a liquid crystal (LCD) or lighting panel includes light source for emitting light. EdgeLight LGP is made of a light-transmittable acrylic resin, and the light source is locating on edges of the LGP. The LGO is provided on one side with a designed pattern of laser dots, V-Cutting to guide an optical path and scatter the light emitted from the light source.

How does the Slim Profile of EdgeLight work?

The unique design of the sign, including the location of the light source and design of the optical light panel, make it a truly innovative product. This light source is mounted on the edge of the light panel, rather than behind as in conventional backlit signs, thus significantly reducing the thickness of the signs. The light travels through the sign by the pattern of Laser dot or v-groove screen which is applied to the back of the panel. The size and density if the dots on the panel vary accordingly to their distance to the light source. This pattern produces a very bright and even distribution of light across the entire panel.
